Education and Other Experience

1990's Work as alternative doctor specializing in trauma recovery

  • Worked as a psycho-spiritual healer focusing bioelectromagnetics and psychoneuroimmunology (body-mind-spirit connection); nutritional counseling; spiritual counseling; imagery; regressive therapy; psychic development and herbal, light and sound therapy. Special focus in the field of trauma recovery. Conducted herbal collections classes and taught autohypnosis.
  • Finished a book, Imagery Healing Meditation (awaiting publication), based on the 1995 World Conference for Imagery lecture.

Work as alternative doctor

  • Color therapy songs written for sound therapy, reviewed by Steven Halpern, composer
  • Worked in four clinics as an alternative doctor
  • Was asked to join the American Association for the Study of Mental Imagery after my lecture at the World Conference and was appointed to the certification committee. I was the first alternative doctor member.

1990-1994 Independent studies continue

  • Designed formulas for paints, cross-referencing the color wave patterns of the minerals
  • Designed and launched the Color Drop Fairies project, and national marketing begins. Business law and marketing researched.
  • First song published by Heim Production - Green Bay, Wisconsin
  • Trained in Guided Visualization, Marquette University - Milwaukee, Wisconsin
  • Exhibits grow in size and number. Artwork now being used as part of group and individual therapy programs in various counseling facilities to help clients get in touch with their feelings as part of dissociative recovery.

1988-1990 Serious independent studies of color therapy and imagery healing combined with chemical, mineral and physical research in quantum electrodynamics. Local exhibits with area artists in arts and crafts shows now cease due to physical disability, and gallery exhibits are sought. Sound therapy and musical writing continue. Technical degree in computer desktop publishing and advertising, Dickinson County Technical College - Iron Mountain, Michigan.

1984-1988 Contracted commercial art assignments. Exhibited in Gia's Dreams Gallery - Columbus, Ohio

1980-1984 Hanging curator for German American Guild, West Berlin FDR. Apprenticeship in realistic sculpture, instructor Thomas Perish, previous University of California professor. Studies in psychology, theology and sociology begin. Correspondence in physics and chemistry start. Autohypnosis training. Environmental evaluations of the wall of Berlin as a stress factor and influence on art and human behavior. Studies in shape imagery, color therapy and sound therapy begin. Worked as a disk jockey for Morale Support and Division for the American Club System, division of the US Army.

1975-1980 Group craft and art shows in Wisconsin, North Carolina and Georgia. Apprenticeship in drawing and painting by instructor Johnson Loud, Amie Hecht and Kristine Schyler. Specialty painting on wood at a furniture store in North Carolina. Start commercial contracting. Degree in electronic communication, US Army. Eight years of symphony training on the tenor saxophone. Multiple music and speech awards.

1968 Song writing begins. First public performance of a self-written song in 1970.
